When: May 18th & 19th, 2012
Where: The Campus Recreation Center, Evergreen State College, Olympia Washington
Description:Learn how to teach the principles of Leave No Trace.
You will be given a Leave No Trace principle to teach a 5 minute
class on during the course. After registering, you will be sent your
topic and resources for your topic.
This course is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, national park
and forest rangers and employees, scout leaders, venturers,
guides, outdoor professionals, and anyone interested in working
in the outdoor industry.
The first day will be inside and and will cover logistics of being a trainer.
The second day, participants explore science-based research about recommended best practices and discuss the spectrum of personal comfort levels, ethics and philosophies that determine how individuals make choices for how to recreate in the backcountry and front country.
Registration: Registration is being done through Evergreen State College.
